Vietnam Ranks Among Top 10 Global Producers of Construction Ceramics | Latest News

Vietnam has solidified its position among the top 10 global producers of construction ceramics, contributing significantly to the nation's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) with an annual injection of over three billion USD. Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh disclosed that Vietnam's homegrown construction ceramic products are not only meeting domestic demands but also making waves in international markets, including ASEAN, Northeast Asia, America, and Europe. In 2022, the sector's exports alone generated more than 220 million USD. The Deputy Minister attributed this success to comprehensive efforts by the government, ministries, and sectors, which have implemented strategic plans and legal frameworks to boost the development of construction materials, particularly ceramics, from 2021 to 2030, with a vision extending to 2050. Localities have actively attracted investments, and manufacturers have ramped up efforts in various new projects, resulting in the industry's remarkable progress in both quality and quantity over the past two decades. The annual production capacity for ceramic tiles, including porcelain, granite, and cotto tiles, now exceeds 800 million sq. m, while sanitary ware production stands at 26 million units annually.
